Downe House Ball held at the Hurlingham Club
At the biennial Downe House Ball held at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham, over 220 parents, staff and girls gathered for a delightful evening of entertainment starting with a beautiful solo performance by Head of Choral, Alexandra O’Kane. Senior Choral, several vocal and instrumental soloists and the folk ensemble, Thingamjigs then performed a number of songs for the guests whilst drinks were served.
During a delicious three-course dinner, there was an interlude in which a trio led by Downe House parent Anna Boucher, amused and entertained everyone. After dinner, the evening continued with dancing to live party band, Pandora’s Jukebox.
The Ball was organised in aid of the Centre for Learning Appeal, which is in its final stages of the campaign to raise £6.5 million for the new Centre for Learning which will provide an innovative and inspirational multi-purpose learning space at the School.
