Centre For Learning

2017 marks the 110th anniversary of Downe House, and to celebrate we are setting our alumnae a challenge.  We are launching the 110 Step Challenge which celebrates the thousands of girls who have been educated at Downe House over the past 110 years and the foundations they have laid for future generations.  The challenge aims to raise the final funds needed to build the Centre for Learning.

Each 'Class of' group are being challenged to raise the equivalent sum in money. For example, if you left in 1995 then we are asking you as a year group to raise £1,995 towards the Centre for Learning. Donations can be small or large, you may wish to set up a regular gift of £19.95 or make a one off donation of £199.50. To celebrate your success, the School will honour your year group with a beautiful commemorative step in the new Centre for Learning building.

If you are still in touch with the old girls from your year do get in touch with the Foundation Office and we can help you set up your own year group challenge page via Total Giving. If you prefer to support on an individual basis, the School is offering sponsorship and naming opportunities of rooms, spaces and equipment as well as commemorative items such as paving stones and seats in the Centre for Learning.

If you would like more information on the challenge, the Centre for Learning campaign or sponsorship and naming opportunities, visit the new 10 Year Vision webpages on the School website, or contact the Foundation Office: 01635 204719, Foundation@downehouse.net

We'd love you to join in and be part of the School's future just as you have helped to shape its past.
